Stevie… Baby, I love what you’re doing with the “Total Eclipse of the Dome”. The typical eclipse is usually sparse and wanting. But not yours, no sir! You go with your thick voluminous Total Eclipse, boastful and proud like a lion atop pride rock. Women throw themselves shamelessly at your feet and willfully toss aside their inhibitions. And who is there to catch them as they fall head over heels? You are Mr. Man. You are indeed. I must say, this is the finest……OH no, OH NOOOO! Tell me this isn’t so…. Tell me I’m not seeing what I’m seeing and this is all just a cruel joke…………
………. Whatever you do Steve, DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT let anyone EVER see the back of your head. Click here to see the back of Steve’s head.

It is painful to peer upon Rangel.
Even shameful to gaze upon his hair dangle.
The famous politician side part is not newfangled,
but since its birth, quite disdainful .
From this side view it curls towards the sky angle.
Please don’t touch, and be careful not to mangle,
for it is a nightmare to comb and untangle.
Do not mock or he will pounce upon thee like a big tiger bangle.
Dare not to accuse him of tax evasion, or he shall find thee and strangle.
The poem is over for I can’t find more words to rope nor to wrangle.

In a shocking manner, North Dakota Senator, Byron ‘Muffin-Top-Head’ Dorgan, announced his retirement from his senatorial duties, and also the retirement of his hair-piece, slash, ‘muffin-topesk creation!’ This is a horrendous way for Democrats to start the New Year! It’s difficult to overstate how much of a nightmare this represents. Not due to the fact the Dem’s will lose another seat, but the fact that Dorgan’s creation was so damn good looking! Now, the liberal lunatics must simply rely upon Carl Levin’s ‘Eclipse-of- the-Dome,’ Chucky Schumer’s patented ‘Plugs McGee’ look, and last but not least, Uncle Joe Biden’s ‘Scrappy-Scranton-Skullet’ to mesmerize the female constituents, aka “feminazis,” into voting for Democrats in the upcoming mid-term elections! Good luck with that you warlocks and necromancers of hair follicle! You’re gonna need it!

Arlen Specter’s spectacle! Much like Arlen’s leap across party lines, his hair has followed suit and taken the leap across his balding dome. Going from right to left not only may have saved Arlen’s political career but absolutely saved his scalp skin from serious sun damage and countless applications of sun burn soothing aloe vera. Many have considered Arlen’s move a bit controversial and quite desperate, but personally I think the comb-over was a great idea. It covers hair loss, protects the scalp and dupes us all into believing he is a young, stalwart and virile man. I give Arlen’s spectacle a stage-3 ranking, and with a little time, a lot of work and maybe a touch of luck he can rock a “Total Eclipse of the Dome,” if he’s man enough that is.

Oh Carl, you’re obviously a man with no mirrors. Not only are you a major supporter of gun control, you’re also a leading proponent of ‘comb-control.’ Congressman Levin, how do you do the voodoo that you do to your ‘dome-do?’ As if in a bold attempt to say “to hell with you Physics and the law of gravity you rode in on!” Carl, you’ve masterfully harnessed the power of the eclipse, the total eclipse of the dome that is. Only by the patient and artistic hands of a true master can a comb-over of this magnitude be tamed. Only a true hair follicle magician, like yourself, make a total eclipse of the dome come together so precisely to cover your scalp skin and fool us all. So moved by this work of art and other works like it, Bonnie Tyler was inspired to write of its majesty.
Song excerpt:
Once upon a time I was losing my hair
and now I’m just a pro with a comb
There’s nothing I can do
A total eclipse of the dome
Once upon a time I loved the feel of a breeze
Now I hope the wind doesn’t blow
There’s nothing I can do
A total eclipse of the dome
